GENERAL➥ All applicants must be 18 or older by the time of application.
➥ Applicants should be familiar with One Piece and the character, Donquixote Doflamingo.
➥ Applicants must have or be willing to create a Discord account. All zine communication will be done there.
➥ If accepted, it is preferred that contributors have a Paypal account. This is how compensation will be handled if we meet our sales goals.
➥ No previous zine experience or large following is required to apply. Everyone will be judged fairly based on the judging criteria.
REQUIREMENTS➥ Artists must submit 3 complete illustrations (with backgrounds preferred!). A portfolio can be included, but optional.
➥ Samples including Doflamingo are highly recommended, but not mandatory.
➥ If interested in applying for Heavenly Pleasures, applicants must include at least one NSFW sample.JUDGING CRITERIA➥ Applicants will be judged based on: anatomy, color, background, overall composition, and pitch/concept.
➥ Artists are expected to provide a minimum of one concept. Two if applying to both zines.EXPECTATIONS➥ If accepted for one zine only, artists will be expected to create a minimum of one fully colored illustration with a background showcasing Doflamingo.
➥ If accepted for both zines, artists will be expected to create a minimum of two fully colored illustrations (SFW & NSFW) with backgrounds showcasing Doflamingo.
REQUIREMENTS➥ Merch Artists must submit 3 complete merch designs. A portfolio can be included, but optional.
➥ Samples including Doflamingo are highly recommended, but not mandatory.
➥ Pictures of physical merch applicants have created or digital mock-ups are a great bonus!JUDGING CRITERIA➥ Applicants will be judged based on: anatomy, color, background (prints only), overall composition, and pitch/concept.
➥ Applicants are expected to provide a minimum of one concept for each item they’re interested in designing.EXPECTATIONS➥ If accepted, merch artists will be expected to create 2-3 assigned items based on Doflamingo.
REQUIREMENTS➥ Applicants must submit at least 3 written works (can be excerpts from longer fics). A portfolio can be included, but optional.
➥ Samples including Doflamingo are highly recommended, but not mandatory.
➥ If interested in applying for Heavenly Pleasures, applicants must include at least one NSFW sample.
➥ Each sample must be 1.5k words max.JUDGING CRITERIA➥ Applicants will be judged based on: grammar, characterization, and their ability to tell a compelling story within a short word count.
➥ Applicants are expected to provide a minimum of one concept. Two if applying to both zines.EXPECTATIONS➥ If accepted for one zine only, writers will be expected to write one piece showcasing Doflamingo. Max word count is 1.5k words.
➥ If accepted for both zines, writers will be expected to write two pieces (SFW & NSFW) showcasing Doflamingo. Max word count for each fic is 1.5k words.

A zine is a fan-made, unofficial booklet that can contain art, stories, or photos based on a series, theme, or ship.💭 What is this zine about?
This zine will be centered around the One Piece character, Doflamingo.💭 Is there an age requirement to apply?
Yes. We ask that all contributors be 18 years or older since this project includes a NSFW portion.💭 Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes. Contributors will only be accepted for one role, though artists may work on zine merch as well.💭 Can I apply to the main zine and the NSFW PDF?
Yes. Please be aware that if you are accepted into both zines, you will be expected to provide a minimum of one piece per zine. More info in GUIDELINES.💭 Will this zine be physical or digital? Will there be merchandise included?
The zine will be physical with a digital SFW PDF. There will be physical and digital merch. The NSFW add-on will be digital only.💭 Will there be content restrictions?
Yes. Please see below what will and will not be allowed in the zine:
➥ All pieces for the main zine (Bird of Paradise) must be SFW, although canon and light to medium violence will be allowed.
➥ For both zines, underage, scat, OCs, and xReader will not be allowed. The rest will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Note that the NSFW PDF (Heavenly Pleasures) may contain dark themes. This is also where we will allow "problematic ships".
➥ Ships will only be allowed in the NSFW PDF (Heavenly Pleasures), and we ask that all ships be Doflamingo with 18+ characters.
➥ Spoilers will be allowed in both zines. Please be aware of this upon your acceptance into the zine.
➥ AUs will be allowed in both zines.💭 How will contributors be compensated?
Contributors are guaranteed a digital bundle of the zine. If funds allow, they will also receive a free full bundle and/or profit upon completion of the zine.💭 How many contributors will be accepted?
We are interested in accepting 25 artists, 4 merch artists, and 7 writers. Please note that these numbers include guest contributors and are subject to change.💭 Can I include other characters in my piece?
